Private viewing at BRDC Silverstone
FOR THE NEW NICHOLS N1A - DELIGHTED TO CONFIRM ...
our first presentation to BRDC Members privately at the BRDC SILVERSTONE HISTORIC RACING FESTIVAL 24th - 27th August 2023, stopping off from a series of it's initial shakedown runs. We look forward to greeting old friends and new to show off Steve Nichols's latest development. We know the BRDC Members will be so chuffed to take a much closer look ...
It's first open public viewing will be in a 'Scramble Meeting' event at Bicester Heritage on 8th October, so don't miss that.
The N1A was inspired by Bruce McLaren's McLaren M1a from 1964 which went on to spawn the great no-holds-barred unlimited sports car CAN-AM series, but designed using all today's modern materials & techniques. Steve's enthusiasm is born of his days at McLaren when he introduced carbon-fibre from US space programmes to single seater GP cars. He went on to create one of the most successful race cars of all time for GP World Champions Alain Prost & Ayrton Senna, the McLaren MP4/4.
Indeed to celebrate his MP 4/4 success, the first 15 N1a are being finished, one for each of the F1 World Championship rounds they won & commemorated with a specific chassis plate. Each car will be specced out with all the very latest tweaks and upgrades.
