Hello and welcome!
We are delighted to welcome & introduce you to our newest website page 'NEWS'.
This is where you'll find regular updates concerning all the state of affairs surrounding our NICHOLS N1a, it's activities, car & company events and calendar details. We'll try to cover media reactions and sales without delving into anything too private or confidential. For sure, both a programme & profile of activities we will tie in with all the on-line coverage that's going on.
Our whole aim with this beautiful car in a changing world is to make haste. Get there as swiftly as possible enjoying all the avenues of fun & enjoyment that opens to those fortunate enough ... and then to share it. For example, as we speak, there's a bunch of enthusiastic drivers enjoying a trip to the far north of Wales for a driving day, organised by friends of ours, on the circuit on (stunningly) beautiful Anglesey. Another few proper drivers are daring us to take the N1a and set a time of the wonderful Bugatti Owners facility at Prescott. There are guys & girls already wanting to know whether we can export to that part of the world. Make that France & Germany too! We are mindful also, that the trips there and back are all part of it.
From day one, Nichols founder Steve has been aware thatthe fact that the specifications WE enjoyed back then, were from an ANALOGUE AGE and in particular, open-to-the-elements sports cars were the most involving, the most visceral and perhaps provided the biggest buzzes of them all. If the driver 'didn't feel like it', progress would be wooly and unkempt. But if the driver was 'on it', the feedback from the car vibrated to the rhythms & balance of measured input, rewarded to slickness of touch & timing. No one, not one intrepid owner, could not open the garage door on a Saturday morning and fail to have their heart pumping for what lies ahead ...
But make no bones about it, Big Bikers will tell you that open air high performance is another world entirely. Overstepping the mark, ANY mark, could be unsafe & unwise. And maybe also, why every trip becomes an adventure; returning to base intact, gave good behaviour it's proper reward. Like they said, dismounting and walking away after such close engagement, would be impossible NOT to turn and admire before shutting that garage door behind them, to maybe plan the next trip over a hot cup of tea, or maybe something much stronger ...
As is the case then even more in the modern world, preparation is such a key component of a good experience. And that is what Steve Nichols and his Team are pretty adamant about and gave to Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost & Nicki Lauda in their prime. Driving ownership of such a high performance machine would not reward un-preparedness. These are not lightweight toys but serious hard driving instruments. Attention will be demanded.
So what we intend to cover in these pages will cover as many expectations as we can imagine and indeed learn further from. We love, adore detail be it materials that make up the N1a, protecting same on long runs, circuit set up and Scottish touring setups. The techniques and management to make the most of every aspect of investment. We have in the back of our minds something like a 'Duty of Ownership', an 'Ownership Proposition' whereby hints & tips of ownership so improving all our understandings and enjoyment of same. Clubs are all the rage it seems nowadays; not all will want that but an overseen consideration is a comfortable affair.
So don't be afraid to contact us with questions or queries. It's unlikely that we have time to answer them all (please note), but we will be reading & digest the drift too or from any direction of involvement at Nichols. We are in a hefty market place and we want to grow by being tighter to those who chose our involvement, chose to drive hard or soft. Let's hear from you …
